1995 the disc golf course at Carter Park was put into the ground. Over the next 28 years it would be host to thousands of rounds, and many events. This beginner friendly course has helped foster and grow the love of disc golf among new, and experienced players alike. Carter Park has watched through the years as our sport has exploded and evolved into what it is today. During that time the course has had minor updates and improvements, but unfortunately has fallen behind today’s standards, safety and equipment being the main points for concern. The time has finally come for us to give back to the course that has given so much to us!

A huge shoutout to Bowling Green Parks and Rec, Visit BG Ohio, and all the incredible GASDG Members who spent hundreds of hours to make the redesigning of Carter Park a reality. None of this would be possible without each person who spent their free time ensuring the successful completion of this project.

As many of you have noticed, the old course at Carter has been removed. Parks is working very diligently to get the new equipment and layout installed. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this progress, and like all of you we eagerly await its completion! To help ease the anticipation, we wanted to share the layout for the new and improved Carter Park! This layout was drafted, and voted on by the Carter Park Improvement subcommittee, so thanks again to everyone for their support and ideas!

For anyone looking to play the new layout in a competitive setting, GASDG Friday Singles will be moving back to Carter once the new baskets are in!
